Abstract

The compact Lie group G = SU (2), known as the special unitary group, consists of all 2×2 complex matrices with determinants equal to one (1). This work presents, among other contributions, a unique procedure for computing the Haar measure of any locally compact group. This procedure is then specifically applied to compute the Haar measure of SU (2).
